Segment's Feature Page

Segment's Feature Page shows how you can be verbose with a technical product. The fundamental elements — copy, comparisons, criticizing alternatives — are all there. The design and a few sections are lacking, but it's still a superb example.

While this headline is a bit plain, it speaks directly to both the core benefit and the core pain experienced by their target audience: getting set up with a data warehouse without spending days, weeks, or even months doing so.
Because they're speaking to a very technical audience about a mission-critical component of a business, they can afford to be pretty verbose. Here, they really get into the need for a data warehouse, why it's incredibly hard to pull off the right way, and how Segment can bridge the gap to get them to what they need.
My favorite section of the page: with and without Segment. This really illustrates the value proposition for Segment.
Another section that elaborates on the value Segment provides. This statement is especially powerful to frame Segment in the reader's minds: "Think of Segment as an extra data engineer..."
Again, given that this is a very technical product with extensive setup, I love this CTA to connect with a cloud data warehouse to get started.
This section criticizes the alternatives to show why Segment is the superior solution. There's nothing fancy about its presentation, but its essence is flawless. Criticizing alternatives is a great way to specifically show how your product is superior and frame it in a light that makes it compelling to take action.
To be honest, I think this section is really lacking. Whereas the other sections are really verbose, there's almost no text in this section. Far too little. It leaves a lot for the reader to infer.
The page concludes with a generic CTA. My critique would be to have a much more personalized CTA for the page, and maybe even relate it back to connecting to a cloud data warehouse provider like mentioned earlier.
